The 17-year cicadas hatched in Illinois in 2007. I sat and watched this cicada go through its whole molting cycle on a tree at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle - it was an incredible experience.

There is great beauty in this Earth - it is visible constantly in what God has created, but there is also great beauty in what God has inspired Man to make. My goal is to share this beauty in all its forms, and I hope that people experience the love of God through my photography. In my regular job, I am a small-animal veterinarian who works all over the Chicagoland area filling in for clinics that need help.
